Stepping down from fell running in the Lake District mountains, I discovered Nordic Walking as a kinder alternative to my body.

I have a historic back injury which has been an on going issue with most exercise I have tried, until Nordic Walking! Combined with Pilates classes, Nordic Walking has strengthened my core muscles to support my back. I have been able to increase my fitness and keep my weight balanced by exercising in this way, a magical discovery for anyone!

In my first Nordic Walking race – The Whinlatter 5 – I completed 5 miles in 1 hour 12 minutes… and I am looking for team mates for next year, come and join us and be part of my team!
