We talk SkiCross with Emily Sarsfield

Emily shares her advice for you to make the most out of your snow time if you’re heading back to the mountains this winter for the first time in a while and we found out what lucky "charm" Emily takes with her on her travels around the world.

After a successful alpine ski career, Emily Sarsfield changed discipline to the then new and exciting freestyle event of Ski Cross 2005. Various ski coaches advised her that her skiing style and attitude would be suited to this new extreme event at the world university games, in her first ever ski cross race, she finished in sixth position.

In the 2010 season Emily created British skiing history by becoming the first British female skier ever to win a skiing Europa cup race!

We had a great chat at the National Snow Show to understand a bit more about the head to head competitiveness of SkiCross, injuries, what “charm” Emily would take with her around the world and Emily also shares her advice for you to make the most out of your snow time if you’re heading back to the mountains this winter for the first time in a while.
