With just two months to go until the National Running Show the organisers have announced the latest speaker in the line-up. Four-time Olympic champion, Sir Mo Farah, will be joining famous faces from the world of running including Adrienne Herbert, Colin Jackson CBE, Dame Kelly Holmes, David Weir, Jamie Baulch and Richard Whitehead MBE at the NEC, Birmingham on the 20-21 January 2024.
Farah is one of the most decorated athletes in British track and field history and won eight world championship medals between 2011-2017 and four Olympic gold medals in the 5,000m and 10,000m at London 2012 and Rio 2016. His ten global championship gold medals (four Olympic and six World titles) make him the most successful male track runner globally in history.
Sir Mo Farah commented, “I’m happy to be speaking at the National Running Show in January. I look forward to talking to runners at a show created for runners. Running is a sport that no matter what or where you come form, if you work hard at it you can achieve something.”
Nathalie Davies, Managing Director at Raccoon Media Group, said, “We are really excited that Sir Mo will be joining in the amazing speaker line-up and cannot wait to showcase some of the biggest talents in the running world at our event. The National Running Show gives runners of all abilities unprecedented access to industry experts, top brand exhibitors and a range of fun, interactive features.”
Paul Foster, Chief Executive of the Great Run Company, said “Sir Mo has taken part in so many of our events over the years and ran his final competitive race at the AJ Bell Great North Run in September. We’re looking forward to hearing about the highs and lows of his incredible career on our sponsored stage at the National Running Show.”
The sixth edition of the National Running Show will take place on the 20-21 January 2024 at the NEC, Birmingham. For a limited time the code SIRMO can be used to get 50% off tickets.
