Polar, the leader in wearable sports and fitness technology for nearly 50 years, has announced the next generation of its ultra-durable and extremely-capable outdoor sports watch.
Perfect for anyone who wants to explore more, Polar Grit X2 Pro has been reimagined with a brilliant AMOLED touchscreen display, scratch-resistant sapphire crystal glass, high-strength stainless-steel front casing, dual-frequency GPS, and innovative biosensing technologies powered by Polar Elixir™. Polar Grit X2 Pro also offers robust navigation tools, including offline maps, plus all the training, recovery, and sleep tracking features that Polar is famous for.
This is Polar’s most premium outdoor sports watch to date, packing decades of science, innovation, and dedication into a stylish wearable with a classic look, rugged design, and superior build for any situation. From snow-capped peaks to sun-drenched trails, Polar Grit X2 Pro is the perfect companion to explore more about the world around us and the limits of our bodies.
“Science, precision, and grit are the values embodied by our Grit X Pro watches that have long been popular with military personnel, firefighters, and those that train in the most demanding conditions” explains Sander Werring, CEO of Polar Electro. “With the Polar Grit X2 Pro, we’ve taken that precision, durability, and design to the next level, offering accessible biosensing and sports features to empower everyone to explore their own capabilities and the world around them with total confidence and style”.
The new Polar Grit X2 Pro is also available in a special Titan edition, featuring a lighter and more refined front casing made of super strong aerospace titanium (instead of stainless-steel). Polar Grit X2 Pro Titan also comes with an additional leather wristband with anti-bacterial cork inner lining for premium comfort, breathability, and style.
For navigating with total confidence
The new Polar Grit X2 Pro is built to the latest military 810H standards, meaning that its durability is more than capable of withstanding the most demanding conditions, including high altitude, low pressure, exposure to high and low temperatures, immersion, corrosion, and other adverse circumstances.
For intrepid explorers and adventurers, the Polar Grit X2 Pro offers unparalleled confidence in navigating the great outdoors with high-precision dual-frequency GPS and a newly-designed signal-boosting antenna. Plus, Polar Grit X2 Pro packs a complete suite of navigation and routing tools, including built-in topographic maps, the new Breadcrumbs capability, turn-by-turn navigation powered by komoot, and Strava route sync. The watch comes pre-installed with maps of Europe and North America, rich in details of buildings, parks, major road networks, streets, and waterways. For the ultimate topographic map experience, users can download even more detailed maps with contour lines, and additional regions for free in Polar Flow.
As well as the advanced navigation tools, Polar Grit X2 Pro sets the tone for the best outdoor adventures with up to 140-hour battery life in eco training mode, up to 43 hour-hour battery life in performance training mode, and up to 10 days in smartwatch mode. Additionally, Polar Grit X2 Pro comes with built-in flashlight, and 32GB storage for saving training data, maps, and multiple routes for offline use.
All the gear you need in one package
While staying true to the company’s commitment to providing comprehensive training support, Polar Grit X2 Pro introduces some new features that are perfect for those who thrive in the great outdoors. On trail runs, hikes, and rides, users will see their vertical speed, as well as their average ascent speed in 30 seconds (VAM) in varying terrains, in real-time. And the 3D speed metric calculates their true speed as their move upwards and onwards.
All this data looks sharper and brighter than ever before on a 326ppi hi-res 1.39” AMOLED touchscreen that is 15% larger than previous generations in the Grit X family. All this extra space provides more room for the multitude of widgets, dashboards, training views, and watch faces –– including a charming new digital face with a bold retro design that invokes a sense of 1980’s nostalgia.
At the core of Polar Grit X2 Pro is Polar Elixir™, the company’s groundbreaking sensor fusion technology platform, bringing fourth generation optical heart rate tracking, wrist-based ECG readings, SpO2 blood oxygen levels, and nightly skin temperature monitoring. Users can also expect the same science-backed, algorithm-powered, personalized guidance for training, nutrition, sleep, and recovery that millions of Polar fans have come to trust, and love. All of this means that the new Polar Grit X2 Pro unlocks even more performance and well-being insights than ever before.
