Wenona and Simisola started a travel community dedicated to increasing inclusivity in the winter sports bringing more colour to the mountains.
Hi all, I’m Wenona! I’m a full time medical doctor in London and co-founder of Mount Noire. I have a passion for travel and any spare moment I have I’m probably boarding a flight.
My ski journey started in 2014; I learnt to ski on dry slopes in the UK. I loved it but at the time I didn’t have anyone who shared the same passion with me and hadn’t embraced solo travelling yet. Since finding likeminded adventurous girls, I can’t get enough of it!
What I love about ski trips is the time you get reflect as you take in the beautiful scenery on your way down. There’s a sense of community, everyone you meet is in a great mood and of course Après ski is always eventful.
Skiing has become a bit of an obsession for me, after going for the first time with the ski club at medical school in 2013, my love for it started the minute I hit the slopes
I fell in love with every bit of it: the culture, the adrenaline and freedom of it and of course the après ski. I ski to get my heart racing, to meet new people and to challenge myself.
In my day to day I’m a doctor and medical researcher in the aerospace and aviation medicine industry. I’m definitely an extrovert that loves to stay active, netball is one of my favourite sports second only to skiing, and I have an unhealthy obsession with food. Me in a nutshell.
