On the 25th November 2021 Brian Wood MC, completed his 25th Marathon in 25 days, paying tribute to our fallen from the Iraq and Afghanistan conflict a total of 635 miles!
In 2021, Brian Wood MC, former Colour Sergeant, Princess of Wales’s Royal Regiment, set out on the Ultimate Sacrifice challenge to run 25 marathons in 25 days. This distance totaled 635 miles which represents the number of fallen comrades from the Iraq and Afghanistan conflicts. Brian was running to raise money for the charity, Walking With The Wounded and ended up raising over £168,000 for charity.
At the same time as completing the challenge, Brian was being followed by a documentary team from Unhinged Productions who captured the incredible effort. The documentary is now available to watch below.

Brian dedicated every mile to each individual that lost their life during the conflict. Brian began the challenge with the aim of raising £20,000 for Walking With The Wounded charity, as he crossed the finish line, he had raised a total of £135,000 – with the total rising to over £170k!
