Follow Brian Wood MC journey as he runs 26 miles every day for 25 days this November.
We, at Outside & Active, have had the honour of documenting Brian Wood MC journey on his Ultimate Sacrifice as he runs 26 miles every day for 25 days this November, totaling 635 miles in memory of every lost soldier from the Iraq and Afghanistan conflicts.
Brian Wood was awarded the Military Cross, one of Britain’s highest awards for gallantry in combat, by Her Majesty The Queen II, following his courageous leadership under enemy fire in Iraq.
Throughout his challenge, Brian is aiming to raise over £40,000 for charity, Walking with the Wounded of which he is close to his total, currently at just over £30,000.
Walking With The Wounded supports disadvantaged veterans who have served in the Armed Forces and their families, empowering them to regain their independence, thrive and contribute in our communities. We have adapted and we continue to support our ex-service community during this difficult time. WWTW has worked in partnership with the NHS for many years and during this period we will continue those partnerships to respond wherever possible to support our incredible NHS.
If you would like to follow Brian's journey or donate to his amazing fundraising efforts, you can do so here.
