Set in Feanedock, this Festival is based in a 70-acre woodland site on the Leicestershire/Derbyshire border at the heart of the National Forest.
Timber invites you to stand up and be counted as we rethink our relationship with trees and forests.
A festival for all nature lovers and daydreamers, it's a chance to listen to music and learn skills, from calligraphy to woodcraft. Ideal for families, you can see incredible street theatre, dance all night between the trees and hear from the best authors and speakers.
A place to re-examine our relationship with the natural world in a joyous celebration of nature. There were talks from speakers such as Jess Day, aka Shoes Full Of Feet, who shared her journey of becoming a solo, long-distance hiker and the lessons learnt along the way. Plus Anthropologist and Archaeologist Mary-Ann Ochota spoke about ancestry and belonging.
People could watch adventure films with Kendal Mountain Festival, A Night Of Adventure – Film Screening. Or wander through 'Warning Notes', a captivating sound-world outdoor live performance with a message.
Musicians also set the woodland alight with beautiful music, thoughts, ideas by day, and wild dancing by night with treetop DJs.
