Our charity partner, the Youth Adventure Trust, have developed a partnership with outdoor travel and clothing specialist, Rohan, helping vulnerable young people get outside.
Rohan, one of the UK’s leading Outdoor and Travel clothing specialists and the Youth Adventure Trust, a youth development charity, announced today a partnership which demonstrates their shared passion for the outdoors. Together they will help vulnerable young people get outside and create a legacy of outdoor adventure for those who wouldn’t normally benefit from such opportunities.
Since 1972 Rohan have provided versatile and innovative clothing so that their customers are confident that they are covered “For Every Journey”. The Youth Adventure Trust uses the power of the outdoors to ensure vulnerable young people build resilience, develop confidence and learn valuable skills that they can take forward in their journey through life.
Rohan has already supported the Youth Adventure Trust in 2021 by entering a team into the Hike Bike Paddle Challenge for the outdoor industry and raised just over £3,600 the cost of one young person’s place on our 3 school year Programme. From the start of 2022, the partnership will see Rohan and Youth Adventure Trust working together to ensure that the next generation have opportunities to get outside, be active and enable more young people to benefit from the charity’s three-year outdoor programme. The partnership will reach Rohan's customers through all their channels and include their Gift Your Gear initiative as well as involving their staff in outdoor and active volunteering opportunities.
Giles Polito, Marketing Director at Rohan says: ”We are excited to start this long term partnership. Having enjoyed the Hike Bike Paddle Challenge last year and learnt more about the great work that the YAT team do, we will be giving our customers the opportunity to donate to YAT and raise funds to go to this great cause’
Mark Davey, CEO of the Youth Adventure Trust says: “We are delighted to be working with Rohan, their customers and staff who will appreciate the importance of the outdoors in their own lives and recognise the life changing effect it has on the vulnerable young people we work with’.
