A brand new, two-day adventure exclusively for eMTB racers.
Bosch eBike Systems has partnered with TweedLove to offer eMTB riders and racers a brand new eMTB adventure: TweedLove’s Electric Weekend 2023 supported by Bosch eBike Systems (also known as ‘E23’).
TweedLove’s Electric Weekend 2023 supported by Bosch eBike Systems has set its sights on becoming the UK’s best multi-day eMTB riding experience, combining a unique course designed specifically for eMTB racers with a festival event village.
Taking place on Saturday 19th and Sunday 20th August 2023, the event village will be hosted in the grounds of the historic Traquair House near Innerleithen.
eMTB-specific course
The course will be marked on a digital map leading eMTB racers around the best of the Tweed Valley’s trails, featuring a different route for each of the two race days.
Departing from Innerleithen and taking in the incredible descents the area is famed for, the race steers clear of the no-foot or uphill stages typical of the Bosch eMTB Challenge to deliver the flow and sense of adventure more akin to enduro racing.
Formulated as a test of riding skill and smart battery management, the course is designed to be completed using one battery each day. There is an alternative race category available for those who want to use an extra battery. Both race days include on-course lunch, electronic timing and instant results, alongside physical and digital course markers, plus support from medics, marshals, and Bosch’s technical support team.
Festival experience
Hosted just outside of Innerleithen and within the grounds of Scotland’s oldest inhabited house, Traquair House, the event village is the hub of the race weekend. It will also be home to Bosch eBike Systems’ technical support team, battery charging facilities, food, bar, and entertainment. Camping is also available, and race participants alongside their families and friends are free to explore the grounds and famous maze all weekend.
The event programme for TweedLove’s Electric Weekend 2023 supported by Bosch eBike Systems runs from Friday evening through to Sunday, with food, a bar, plus DJs and live music every night. Saturday evening will host an outdoor cinema. Find out more and sign up to race here.
