Galen Rupp, two-time Olympic medallist and aspirational American long-distanced runner, will join the talented speaker line-up which includes Olympic athlete, Carl Lewis, ultramarathoner Dean Karnazes, World record breaker, Jacky Hunt-Broersma, Mirna Valerio aka The Mirnavator and professional ultra-mountain runner Sally McRae. The speakers will share their stories and experiences in an effort to inspire and enthuse the running community in Chicago and neighbouring states. Rupp is a celebrated runner who has achieved great things in his career. He is sure to provide an insightful and motivating talk that will encourage attendees to get out there and start running!
Jacky Hunt-Broersma, world renown American amputee ultramarathon runner and cancer survivor from Arizona, best known for breaking the Guiness World Record for running most consecutive marathons with 104 in 104 days and yet only started running in 2016. We’re looking forward to bein inspired by Jacky’s story at the Run Show USA!
Robbins has spent over 15 years trail running competitively, racking up incredible feats of endurance with multiple FKTs and shot to notoriety after the release of the iconic ‘Where dreams go to die’ YouTube documentary, sharing his journey to complete the infamous Barkley Marathons in Frozen Head State Park. Gary has tackled the gruelling and now world-renowned race on three occasions, narrowly missing out on the 60-hour race cut off by mere seconds in 2017.
